Hanbury Manor Golf and Country Club
On Wednesday 4th July 2018 we held our Celebrity Golf Day at the 5-Star Hanbury Manor Hotel and Country Club. The celebrities that played on the day were Kriss Akabusi, Ossie Ardiles, Vic Armstrong, Luther Blissett, Sir Trevor Brooking, Duggie Brown, Mike Cattermole, Bob Champion, Ray Clemence, Jess Conrad, Keith Deller, Kerry Dixon, George Graham, Bruce Grobbelaar, Aaron James, Pat Jennings, Alan Kennedy, Steve Lomas, John Lyons, Frank McLintock, John Moncur, Paul Moran, Martin Offiah, Pat Pocock, Mark Regan, Ian Richards, Dean Saunders, Steve Sedgeley, Peter Shilton, Steve Smith-Eccles, Brian Stein, Stuart Storey, John H. Stracey, Rocky Taylor, Derek Thompson, Paul Tupai, Paul Walsh and Eddie Wedderburn.
A Gala Dinner was held in the evening and featured an auction that included an original painting of Frank Bruno by acclaimed artist Ben Mosley, a holiday in Sri Lanka, a skiing holiday to Nira Montana Italy, a holiday in Malta and a VIP visit to The English National Opera.
The cabaret was compered by Aaron James and featured Mike Osman who, on American Independance Day, appeared as President Donald Trump.
Our Chairman Mike Jackson commented:
“We are grateful to our two main sponsors Platinum Lace, and The Player Magazine for their support and for helping to make the day such a success. We got some outstanding celebrity support for the event and we had some great support from Hanbury Manor who hosted it. In the end we raised £22,000 and from our point of view that is outstanding.”
